I am a recent graphic design graduate of Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Now based in Portland, OR, I have also spent the past five years working in event management. All of my combined experience has taught me how to observe exactly what a client needs, as well as giving me a fine attention to detail.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned during my time studying design is that it’s true what they say: the devil is in the details. Being a designer who cares about details does not just mean paying attention to kerning, leading, spacing, and all of the other minutiae that designers care about more than their audience does.
It also means picking up on the unexpressed wants or desires of your clients, understanding their vision on a level that they themselves cannot fully put into words. I’ve learned that above all else, paying close attention always pays off. Being detail oriented gives me the ability to deliver work that goes above and beyond expectations.
