This was one of those special projects where my first thought was one of pure excitement: if I had the opportunity to throw and attend an event like this, what would it look like? Who would the musicians be? What would the charities be? It didn’t take me long to come up with an all female lineup, benefitting several different women’s organizations: Planned Parenthood, the National Organization for Women, and RAINN. 

I decided to choose two colors and use duotone photographs to create a bold, trendy look. Since photography like this can often seem busy, I wanted to contrast them against a black background, using bold, clean white type throughout the whole system.
